He was a commercial realtor for over 17 years during which time he completed hundreds of transactions and was recognized by D Magazine as a top real estate producer and Dallas Business Journal as one of Dallas’s “Heavy Hitters” for commercial real. A champion of the Dallas business community, Richard was awarded the Stemmons Corridor Award Community Achievement for his efforts to promote and support the economic growth of the Stemmons corridor when he negotiated a $30M office lease relocating EXE Technologies to Dallas, TX. This success led to an opportunity in Corporate America with publicly traded Jackson Hewitt as the Director of Franchise Sales handling a 13 state territory. During his 4 years tenure, he became the #1 sales rep selling over 120 franchises for the company. This success led to a promotion placing him over corporate Mergers and Acquisitions for another 4 years where he identified and negotiated the purchase of over 25 independent tax companies including the company’s largest purchase to date in San Antonio, TX valued at over $9M. As a business owner Richard has opened an indoor trampoline park in Waco, which has now become one of the most successful parks in the state of Texas and better allows him to look at a transaction through the eyes of an owner.
